Arq-e-Jal

When a Damask rose is distilled in our Kannauj copper deg, two things are produced. The first — the fragrant oil — becomes our attar. The second — the pure steam that carried the flower's essence — becomes this.

Arq-e-Jal is our collection of traditional floral hydrosols: Gulabjal, Kewda, Khus, Marigold, Rosemary, and Rice Water. Each is made from a single, dedicated distillation in our workshop in Kannauj — the perfume capital of India — using the same deg-bhapka method our family has practiced for over a hundred years.
